Glass Cabinet Beauty Queen (นางงามตู้กระจก) Carabao

Balliamo con questa canzone dei Carabao (Naang Ngaam Tuu Kracok) นางงามตู้กระจก.

Glass Cabinet Beauty Queen

The tears of a girl wash her two cheeks. A wind blows in
The clock tells the time, like reminding when to sleep
[She] sighs so [she] can consider
Hopes one day it will pass
Her body satiates the man
With her dear heart crushed and bruised

Low society, low because of [low] people
Poverty, who can endure it?
[Her] father is old, mother is sick
[Her] younger brothers and sisters are constantly eating

[She] hurts because of her poverty
This is the person that society hates?
Helps the man release stress.
Ten, a hundred, a thousand until the president*

To be a a fair-skinned lady in the bath **
To be the beauty queen in the glass cabinet***
Tears fall, her heart falls
Who will know, who will see? Who will corroborate this is happening?
Will someone come by and seriously consider? Or just pass by and not even care?

The woman’s tears wash two cheeks. The wind just flows in
The clock tells the time, like reminding when to sleep
[She] sighs, [and] doesn’t think about it
Hopes one day it will pass
[It’s] so Father and Mother are comfortable
[And] younger siblings can go to school

To be a fair-skinned lady in the bath
To be a beauty queen in a glass cabinet
Tears fall, her heart falls
Who will know, who will see? Who will corroborate this is happening?
Will someone come by and seriously consider? Or just pass by and not even care?

The woman’s tears wash two cheeks. The wind just flows in
The clock tells the time, like reminding when to sleep
[She] sighs, [and] doesn’t think about it
Hopes one day it will pass
[It’s]so Father and Mother are comfortable
[And] Younger siblings can go to school

[It’s] so mother and father can be comfortable
Younger brothers and sisters can go to school

*That is she services everybody up to and including the president.
**There are spas for prostitutes in Thailand.
***This is a reference to the way clients pick the prostitute they will have sex with. The prostitutes sit dressed up as beauty queens behind a glass waiting to be picked.
